The Complete Guide to Planning A Park City Bachelorette Party Itinerary

Why is Park City, Utah So Popular?

If Park City is new on your radar, you might wonder why Park City, Utah is worth visiting in the first place. Part of what makes Park City special is that it’s a top destination for snow sports with some of the best ski resorts in the nation.

In fact, Park City was home to the 2002 winter Olympics and you can visit Olympic Park to this day.

Additionally, every January Park City hosts the Sundance Film Festival, which is the largest independent film festival in the country. This event also brings celebrities into the town, and is another reason why Park City, Utah is so popular!

How to Get to Park City, Utah?

If you’re within driving distance to Park City, Utah you might consider kicking this bachelorette party off with a fun road trip. If not, your best bet is to first fly. I recommend exploring flights on Skyscanner to get the best deal.

The closest airport to Park City is Salt Lake City International Airport. From there, you have a couple options for how to get from the Salt Lake airport to Park City.

You could book a private shuttle, rent a car and drive yourself or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft.

Where to Stay for a Park City Bachelorette Party:

For a Park City bachelorette party you have several options to consider when it comes to where to stay. You’ll want to take into account your group size, budget, types of activities the group will do and what’s most comfortable for group members (especially the bride!).

Park City Airbnb or VRBO

One option that can be really fun for a girls’ weekend in Park City is to book a whole bachelorette party house where everyone stays together. This also gives you the option to cook some meals on site and have private yet communal spaces for the group to gather.

My preferred recommendation for home rental company is VRBO. I used to use Airbnb more often but the hidden fees lately have become outrageous and I love the rental options on VRBO.

As far as what part of town to stay in, if you won’t have a car then I highly recommend staying close to the historic Main Street. You’ll be able to walk to cute shops, cafes and restaurants. If you plan on skiing a lot or prefer a more secluded mountain-home then consider the options with ski-in / ski-out.

Here are some Park City vacation rentals I’d consider booking for a bachelorette party:

  • This newly remodeled Deer Valley condo that literally has it all — stunning views from floor-to-ceiling windows, private outdoor deck, hot tub, pool table, arcade games, sound system, and 4 full baths! Sleeps up to 12 people.

There’s a free shuttle you can take from here to go skiing, and a 2-block walk gets you to the bus stop which you can take for free all around Park City.

Park City Bachelorette Party Favors to Pack

Bachelorette party favors are a fun way to bring a group together, and they don’t have to be frivolous trinkets. Instead, chic bachelorette party favors that are both fun and practical can be a great way for everyone to have reminders of the fun girls’ weekend spent together.

Personalized champagne glasses and stylish fanny packs (instead of the ones with words on them) make great favors and lasting gifts.

Of course, part of the fun is also having bachelorette party favors that celebrate the specific occasion.

What to Wear to a Park City Bachelorette Party

If you’re visiting Park City in warmer months, it’s still a good idea to pack light layers:

Finally, Park City has a higher elevation than what you might be used to depending on where you’re from. I remember having a mild headache while I visited.

If you plan to drink alcohol while there, this could further contribute as alcohol dehydrates you. If you’re worried about elevation sickness, plan ahead and pack these pills.

Take a paddleboard yoga class in a crater

That’s right, in an actual crater, on caribbean-blue water. Yoga Adventures also offers aerial yoga, which I’ve done and enjoyed, and an aerial forest meditation option that sounds delightful.

But if you ask me, paddleboard yoga in a crater sounds like the coolest option. Plus, there’s an option to do this at night when the stars shine through!

Take a painting class

Visit The Paint Mixer for a couple relaxing hours of painting while sipping on wine. The paintings are a great souvenir to remember the Park City bachelorette party by.

Go to an outdoor concert

Explore Historic Main Street

Park City’s Main Street is lined with boutique shops and cafes to explore, like Atticus Coffee Books & Teahouse. The street itself is also charmingly picturesque and great for a girls weekend photo shoot.
