The Ultimate Key West Bachelorette Party Itinerary

Planning the perfect Key West bachelorette party itinerary doesn’t have to be painful. I’ve now planned my sister’s Denver bachelorette party as well as my own San Diego bachelorette party and both were super fun experiences.

So, let my Key West bachelorette party guide help you plan your perfect bachelorette weekend.

Key West Bachelorette Party: Where to Stay

There are several factors to consider when deciding where to stay in Key West for a bachelorette party. How many people are in your group? How close are they to each other? How much is each person willing to spend?

Sometimes, it makes more sense to all stay at the same hotel. This allows for a mix of time together with the whole group, and time apart for everyone to socially recharge as needed. It also means less cleanup is needed, compared with renting a house.

A couple of the best hotels in Key West for bachelorette parties are:

The Perry Hotel

town of key west florida

With two waterfront pools, three dockside restaurants, free shuttle service into Old Town and more The Perry Hotel is one of the best hotels in Key West for bachelorette party groups.

Guests love the location, atmosphere and facilities. The Perry Hotel feels quiet and secluded while in reality being close to all the major landmarks in Key West.

VRBO

Alternatively, Key West bachelorette party house rentals are another fun option. Instead of recommending a Key West bachelorette party Airbnb, I’m going to direct you to VRBO since this is now my preferred home rental site when traveling.

Here are a couple great VRBO Key West bachelorette party house rentals:

How to Get there and Get Around Key West

For my own trip to Key West, Florida I flew first into Miami airport and spent a couple days there since it’s one of my favorite US cities. Then, we rented a car and drove from Miami to Key West.

If you want to turn part of the bachelorette party into a fun road trip and you have time to make it work then consider renting a car like we did.

Or, fly directly into the Key West International Airport and take a short Uber ride from there into town. This is the most convenient and time efficient option.

Be sure to check with your hotel or accommodations on whether they offer an airport shuttle.

Once you’re in Key West, getting around is a breeze. Key West is small enough that you do not need a car to get around.

Depending on where you’re staying, you can either walk to more places, take Uber or Lyft, call a taxi or rent a mode of transportation.

Consider renting an electric car or bikes while you’re in town. While it might sound fun to rent a moped, I don’t recommend taking the risk unless you’re already experienced in riding one.

No need to add unnecessary injury to what should be a fun time celebrating the bride-to-be!
There’s also a free bus you can hop on to get around Old Town. You can view the route map for this bus here.

One of my favorite things to do in Key West is to taste test different key lime pies around town. Make it a point to order a slice to taste everywhere it’s on the menu where you eat.

Or, purposefully seek out a few different key lime pie establishments including: Kermit’s Key West Lime Shoppe, Key Lime Pie Bakery, Old Town Bakery, Mathessen’s.

If you want prime seating for sunset at any of the ocean view restaurants be sure to book as far in advance as possible.

Kermit’s Cafe

Beyond being a great stop for a slice of key lime pie, Kermit’s Cafe is a great eatery overall. Breakfast and lunch are served between 7am-3pm, and you can shop for a variety of gifts or souvenirs to bring back home as well. They even have a tranquil koi pond!
