Hotel Des Balances is an amazing property in a prime location in the historic district on the river in Lucerne. We paid a little extra for river view rooms and it was so worth it! Our rooms were on the top floor of the hotel and had balconies which overlooked the river and the Chapel Bridge. The hotel rooms were beautiful and air conditioned, which was not easy to find in Switzerland. Do not hesitate to book!

The staff and facilities at the Hermitage were excellent. The location provided a breathtaking view from almost every part of the hotel. We enjoyed many amenities at the hotel including SUP’s, kayaks, lake swimming and tennis. We also had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel each night and enjoyed excellent food and service there. We had our daughter with us and we all had a memorable time. We love to travel and this is perhaps the best hotel stay we have had. We would love to come back.
